Class Syllabus:

COURSE STRUCTURE

Work at your own pace, the course should not take more than a few weeks to complete. It is an interactive course and requires completion of assignments, lessons and quizzes (multiple choice, T/F). If you are not comfortable taking Quizzes, you can contact the instructor for alternative testing procedures.

All quizzes are for learning purposes. You can retake each quiz as many times as you like until you master the material.

There are many related Net Links to learn from. You can join many national organization devoted to relationship enhancement.

This course will permit you to become an active affiliate of the National Marriage Centers.

Affiliation will entitle you to be included in the national directory and receive the benefits of a national advertising and informational program.

You will receive client referrals for marital education and coaching from those couples needing services within your local community.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

There are no pre-requisites for this course. No prior training or experience is needed to participate.

It is recommended that each student complete all lessons, assignments, quizzes.

You must complete all quizzes to become a Certified Marriage Educator and Coach, affiliated with National Marriage Centers.

Reading assignments are not required for this course. It is recommended that after becoming affiliated with National Marriage Centers you view the many books, tapes and articles made available to you.

COURSE GOALS

This course is designed to help you better understand marriages and learn important skills that will enable you to enrich relationships.

After completion of the course each student will have an understanding of how to:

1. Strengthen couples communication skills.
2. Understand predictable events in marriage.
3. Lessen marital conflict. 
4. Learn hidden killers of marriage. 
5. Develop an understanding of marriage. 
6. Common effects of our Family of Origin. 
7. Self esteem - How do I feel about myself. 
8. Understanding expectations. 
9. Human Natural Wiring.
10. Decision making in marriage. 
11. Develop a financial budget and plan.
